MACEDON. Akanthos. Circa 440-430 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.45 g, 11 h). Lion to right, attacking a bull collapsing to left; in exergue, tunny swimming to left. Rev. AKA-N-ΘIO-N Raised quadripartite square surrounded by inscription; all within shallow incuse square. AMNG III/2, 21. Desneux -. Leu 83 (2002), 162 corr. (same dies, but reverse die not R92). Triton XX (2017), 99 (same dies). Some areas of weakness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
